Middleburg Heights residents have been offered a chance to join the fight against kidney disease, and all they have to do to make a difference is lace up their sneakers and be a part of an area event.
The Annual Harvest Walk and 5K in support of the Kidney Foundation of Ohio will soon be back for another year, and it will be held at Mapleside Farms. Participants can choose to run or walk, and there will be other fun for all ages as well.
The day of the event will open with registration and check-in, and the crowd can enjoy the activities that will be on offer such as face painting, balloon twisting, entertainment, and a craft for the kids. There will be tickets sold for an assortment of raffle baskets, and when the clock strikes nine, the walkers and runners will all set out. An awards ceremony is scheduled at the conclusion of the function, and whether they walk, run, or roll along in a wheelchair or other assistive device, everyone is welcome to be a part of the fun.
The run and walk will be held rain or shine, and awards will be presented to the top finishers in the run, and also to the individual and team that was able to raise the most money. Race bibs, volunteer T-Shirts, Banners and other products for an event like this can be provided by an area printing services company.
