A day of angling has been planned for Middleburg Heights, but it won’t be in a river, lake, or stream.
The Community Center Outdoor Pool will serve as an makeshift fishing hole for a family friendly fishing derby. The pool will be stocked with catfish, bass and blue gill. Each angler will be allowed to keep two of the fish they reel in, and they can catch and release as many as they wish.
There will be prizes awarded to the person who catches the most fish, the tagged fish, and also the biggest fish. A local printer can supply award certificates for the winners, and also other branded Promotional Products that can be given out as prizes or swag to those who participate in a contest such as this.
Those who plan on participating in this event are encouraged to bring along their own rods, bait and tackle, as only a limited number will be available for use. A concession stand will be set up so the crowd can purchase refreshments if they wish. Preregistration is mandatory for this event, and the fee will be $5 for residents/members and $10 for nonresidents. People can sign up to participate at the community center’s font desk.
