There are many ways for people to do a good turn for the environment, and some of these will be explored during a day planned for the Middleburg Heights area.
Even if they have never picked up an embroidery needle, this function hosted by Pins and Needles can teach locals how to bring new life to old clothes. Expert sewer Tina Bartelmay will be sharing her talents, and the environment will be relaxed to foster the creative spirit in all students.
The learners who take part will discover how they can use techniques such as adding lace, appliques and other enhancements to a garment, and during the five-hour class, they will find out how they can make the most out of an embroidery sewing machine, some thread and stabilizers. These can be used to create clothing, home décor, and other items, and everyone will go home with a lace purse charm they will have made themselves.
The registration fee for the workshop also includes lunch, and each attendee will also receive a bag that contains activated embroidery software, as well as an assortment of Promotional Products that may be of interest to them.
