A budget-friendly opportunity to swap items and socialise is on the way to the Middleburg Heights area, and it will take place just in time to be part of the spring cleaning season.
Early April will see a Sip and Swap hosted at The Velvet Dog in Cleveland. Being offered thanks to the efforts of The Girls Room, admission to the event is $20 and three drop-off days have been scheduled.
To participate in the activity, members of the public can drop off up to 10 items of gently used clothing. This will be organized and sorted, and on the day of the event, each person who made a donation will receive a ticket they can use to choose some new to them items. Any not selected will be donated to a local charity, and each guest will be treated to a welcome cocktail as well as a tote bag with a special graphic design.
A clothing exchange can help people save money and keep unwanted items out of the landfill. A flyer printing company can supply an assortment of low-cost but effective marketing materials.
The Velvet Dog in Cleveland has made arrangements to serve as the venue for this sip and swap on April 6. The drop-off days have been planned for March 22, 25, and 29, and anyone who needs to make alternative arrangements is asked to contact thegirls_room@yahoo.com.
