The Middleburg Heights community has been asked to lend a hand with a project that will help those in need have a happier holiday season.
The Rocky River Chamber of Commerce has organized its holiday drives for this December. This year, there will be two, and members of the public are invited to submit suggestions to the Chamber’s Public Service Committee for charities they feel could benefit from a second drive.
The organizers have explained that while all contributions of non-perishable food and hygiene products will be very much appreciated, items like paper towels, napkins, soap, deodorant, and hand sanitizer are in high demand. Food items such as cereal, oatmeal, peanut butter, and tinned tuna are also requested. Gift cards are also welcome, and the proceeds from the first drive will be distributed by the Rocky River Women’s Club’s Rocky River Assistance Program.
A community food drive can go a long way towards addressing food insecurity. A poster printing company can create materials that grab attention, helping to increase awareness of an event.
Anyone who would like to make a contribution to this effort is asked to drop their items or gifts cards off at 1236 Smith Court in Rocky River on December 11th and 12th.
