This spring, Middleburg Heights households will be invited to take a step that may help them safeguard their personal information.
The community has a Shred Day scheduled for this May, and it will be repeated in July and September. Items may be dropped off for shredding and disposal at the Middleburg Heights Service Center during the morning hours.
The organizers of the sessions will be partnering with Shred Mobile and Recycling to offer this free service. Documents will be shredded on site, and there will be staff available to lend a hand with unloaded materials. Everyone can bring up to two Boxes of standard paper size and can carry them in plastic Bags if they wish. They will be cross shredded for extra security, and the shreds will be sent to a recycling facility. Paper clips and staples should be removed from all items being shredded.
Community members may appreciate the chance to make sure sensitive documents are properly disposed of. Stationery printers can prepare mailers to distribute and send out to households that keep them informed of local activities.
Middleburg Heights has scheduled its Shred Days for May 10, July 19, and September 13, all of which are Saturdays, and they will go ahead rain or shine. The Service Center can be found at 7375 Engle Road. Any questions can be directed to (440) 234-2216.
