Middleburg Heights and other communities served by Southwest General are welcome to register for an online event that will prepare them for the birth of their child.
This virtual learning opportunity will give parents-to-be knowledge that can help them to get ready for the arrival of their bundle of joy, and it will take place over two sessions. The organizers explained that their goal is to remove the fear from the labor and delivery process, and also to prepare the participants for both pregnancy and the postpartum period.
The attendees will learn ways they can make labor easier, and pain control, positioning, breathing and the value of having a prepared birthing partner will all be included in the discussion. It was noted that these classes are expected to fill up quickly, and it is recommended that anyone who is interested should register as soon as they can. A video tour of the maternity unit at the Southwest General Hospital Center is included in the activity.
Many new parents are apprehensive about labor and delivery, and offering workshops like these can aid in removing a lot of the fear. Hard copy learning materials for the event can be supplied by area Print shops.
These live Webex Prepared Childbirth workshops will be offered on December 2, with another one on February 3, 2021. The registration fee has been set at $80.
