October brings cool weather fun, and an event that will be held near Middleburg Heights will give Fido a chance to get in on the excitement.
The 2020 Spooky Pooch parade is scheduled for Lakewood this fall, and it promises to be a “dog gone great time”. Free to attend, one of the highlights of the day for many of the participants will be the parade of dogs and their people, all dressed in their favorite costume.
Many of the activities that have been planned will be taking place in Kaufman Park, and along with the parade, there will be offerings for the kids as well as dog-related vendors. Rescue groups will help families and individuals connect with a new furry friend, and at 2:00 pm, the parade will hit the road. Prizes will be awarded, and the proceeds from the day will be used for the benefit of Lakewood Alive, which is a not-for-profit group that supports a variety of community initiatives.
