Home horticulture has become increasingly popular, and this spring, a Middleburg Heights area venue will play host to an evening that will be filled with beer, plants, friends, and fun.
The 4th annual Soil and Suds fundraiser for seed saving is right around the corner, and it will see plant lovers swap their extras for something new. Forest City Brewery will be the venue for the occasion, and its outdoor seating area will be open.
Those who take part in the festivities can exchange their extra tools, plants, and gardening gear with the other attendees, and it can help to take some of the financial bite out of the hobby. A variety of small businesses from the local area will be on site for them to shop from, and anyone who brings along a pot will be able to have drainage holes installed, free of charge.
Along with the beer, plants and other fun, the attendees will be invited to purchase raffle tickets, and the proceeds from this will benefit the Cleveland Seed Bank. A poster printing company can be counted on to supply any marketing materials needed for an event.
The 4th annual Soil and Suds plant swap in is in the works for May 29, beginning at 1:00 pm. The venue is located at 2135 Columbus Road in Cleveland.
