Late summer often sees the season’s bounty being turned into pickles and other preserves, and a Middleburg Heights area festival will be centered on these tangy treats.
Pickle Fest is set to transform downtown Cleveland into a huge outdoor party, and the whole neighborhood will be joining in the fun. It is billed as being one of the area’s most unique food festivals and, as such, tends to be popular with the public.
The guests at the celebration can expect to find that almost all its components have a pickle theme, and they can sample the offerings from a variety of vendors. Local eateries will also be creating their own cuisine for the occasion, and pickles will be front and center. Food trucks will be included as well, and with live music, crafter tables, eating competitions, and even a pickleball tournament, the day will be jam packed with fun for the whole family.
While the festival may be all about having a fun, it also has a higher purpose. It will raise funds for Greater Cleveland Volunteers, and the planners explained that it will benefit the entire community. The 2020 instalment of Pickle Fest will be saluting this popular preserve on August 22. The gates will be open to the public starting at 11:00 am.
