Womens self-defense class plans stop in Mentor

Women wanting to learn martial arts and self-defense basics should keep the calendar clear next month, as a women-only class is making a visit to Mentor.

Interested women are encouraged to attend and invite friends, family members, and colleagues to join in learning tips for self-defense against malicious actors. The course is designed to include training activities with fun mixed in, and is an opportunity for any women interested in learning skills that could give them extra security. A law enforcement professional with 38 years of service will teach the course.

The course is geared to women 13 and older and of all experience levels who want to learn methods for protection and safety. Attendees will learn about everyday items to use for self-defense purposes, with notable effects against attackers. The training extends to social media use, helping attendees learn how to protect private information against criminals. Business Cards can be a great way to spread awareness to interested parties at events like this.

The instructor will demonstrate and explain techniques to use to avoid dangerous situations. Attendees can opt for full-contact and non-contact training sessions to find the best fit. Guests can trust that all touchpoints will be cleaned for training sessions.

COBRA Defense Mentor Studio will host the event on Saturday, February 3 at 10:00am. General admission tickets cost $60 per person, and guests can reserve a spot online.
