Mentor creatives who want to grow closer with their pets have a unique opportunity at hand, as a painting event will allow them to create a pet portrait.
The “Paint Your Pet” event is coming to Mentor in a few weeks, providing painters and other creatives a chance to create a one-of-a-kind portrait of their furry friend. The session will be led by Rachel, the owner and lead artist of The Dirty Palette. She will provide step-by-step guidance to participating artists from start to finish.
The canvas size will be 12”x16”, and each person who participates will be able to take their painting home to add to their decor. Guests are allowed to paint only one pet, and will need to send two quality head/body shots of the pet to the organizers to capture the pet in detail. Printing services can help organizers provide quality canvases, guidance sheets and other resources to ensure a memorable painting experience through such events.
Non-furry animals, including lizards, snakes, birds, and hamsters, are all acceptable subjects for painting. All supplies, including aprons, will be provided to registered guests, and food and drinks will be available for purchase.
Gunny’s Hall on Twinbrook Road in Mentor will host the painting event, which is set to start at 1:00 PM on Sunday, January 18th. Registration is $60 per participant.
