Outdoor enthusiasts who are craving a community gathering that indulges in nature are in luck this June, as a paddling adventure is coming to a local nature preserve.
The Sunset Paddle experience is coming to the Mentor Lagoons Nature Preserve & Marina soon, giving area residents with a canoe, kayak, or standup paddleboard the chance to take in the sunset from the water with like-minded community members. The event promises to provide a memorable experience for all who register.
The trip will be led by the nature preserve’s Natural Resource Specialists, who will lead registered guests to the marina’s mouth to watch the sunset as a group. After watching the sunset, participants will follow the guides back through the marina for a journey toward Mentor Marsh Nature Preserve under the glow of the moon. Flyer printing can provide organizers with cost-effective promotional materials that raise awareness of such events around the community.
Participants will paddle roughly two miles at a moderate pace, with the experience expected to last around two hours. Kayaks are included with registration, though participants are welcome to bring their own from home. Spots for the adventure are limited.
Mentor Lagoons Nature Preserve & Marina, located on Harbor Drive in Mentor, will be the meeting spot for the paddling adventure, which is scheduled for Friday, June 26th, at 7:30 PM. Tickets cost $20 per participant online.
