Yearly fundraiser offers fun for families and their dogs

The 15th annual Strutt your Mutt festival is taking place next month in Ontario. It is a fundraiser for the Humane Society of Richland County.

The day is set to feature plenty of competitions for dogs, as well as fun activities for both humans and their pets. There will be food for sale, games, a children’s area, and a raffle. People who have rescued dogs from the Humane Society will be invited to take part in the Happy Trails parade.

The Humane Society of Richland County provides services for abused, abandoned, and neglected animals and finds them new homes. The organization receives no government funding and relies on the public and private donations it takes in.

In addition to this event, a rummage sale will be held on September 16. The public and local businesses are invited to donate gently used items.

To help advertise events like these throughout Richland County and in communities such as Mansfield, organizers often invest in flyer printing services. Flyers can be easily and inexpensively distributed in the community.

The Strutt your Mutt festival will be held at Marshall Park in Ontario on September 9 from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. For more information, call the Humane Society of Richland County at 419-774-4795; the office is open Wednesday through Saturday and Monday from 12:00 noon to 5:00 pm.
