Mansfield Sanctuary plans family fun

A Mansfield organization that provides care for injured birds, as well as education and advocacy, has two special events scheduled over the coming months.

The Ohio Bird Sanctuary has set the date for its Vulture Day and Fall Festival, both of which will be family friendly.

Up first is Vulture Day, which provides a sneak peek into the lives of these birds. The public can meet some vultures up close, and there will be activities and games that offer insight into the lives of these members of nature’s clean-up crew.

The Fall Festival, meanwhile, is one of the Sanctuary’s signature events. It will include species spotlights as well as crafts, food, and hot chocolate, and a chance to gather by the bonfire. Everyone can try their luck in the draw for the raffle baskets, and admission is $20 per carload.

A themed special event can attract attention from the public, and a poster printing company will be able to provide budget-friendly and effective ways to help spread the word. It can also supply Corporate Gifts that may be a good fit for draw prizes.

The Ohio Bird Sanctuary at 3774 Orweiler Road will be hosting its Vulture Day on September 6, and its Fall Festival is set for October 11, both of which are Saturdays. More details can be found on the venue’s website.
