Mansfield orchid fans who are hoping to add some new specimens to their collection have been flocking to an activity being held in their home community.
The crew at Kingwood Garden and Gift Shop is providing a break from the cold while they host its Winter’s Interlude. Offering a taste of the topics in the heart of America, at least 500 orchids and other plants are on full display for the public to view and enjoy.
The event provides an opportunity to view and learn about a large variety of species of orchids, as well as the ecosystems they inhabit, and air plants and other tropicals are in the mix as well. Fragrance fans can head to The Orangery where there will be perfumed blooms to experience, and the Tropical House is boasting a wall of color that incorporates over 250 phalaenopses (moth orchids).
Kingwood will be wrapping up its Winter’s Interlude with its one-day-only Orchid Sale, which is scheduled for the end of the activity. The plants will be on offer for as long as supplies last.
A large event spread out over a wide area may benefit from having maps prepared by a brochure printing company. These can be distributed to visitors as they arrive and kept afterwards as keepsakes of the experience.
Winter’s Interlude is running now and is available until March 6, and the Orchid Sale is set for Saturday, March 7. The venue’s website provides more details.
