Needle felting can be a fun activity, and those who would like to learn how to get started can do so when they participate in a Mansfield workshop.
Registrants for the class will be creating fun frogs using natural fibers. The registration fee is $40.00, which includes all materials as well as the use of felting tools and a foam base, and the session will take two hours.
Attendees will be working with wool roving, and a special barbed needle will be used for the project. They will learn how to get started on their piece before moving on to creating shapes for eyes and other details. The class’s organizers note that the activity may be a great way to relieve stress, and there will be materials available on site for purchase by anyone who would like to craft more pieces once they return home.
A crafting or other class gives the public an opportunity to pick up a hobby along with other newbies. Copies of any learning materials to be distributed can be prepared by a brochure printing company.
This introduction to the fun of needle felting will run from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm on Saturday, June 22. Spots in the class are expected to fill up fast, and it will be held at 1200 Rock Road.
