A water feature can complement a home landscape, and a Mansfield workshop will help anyone who would like to install one on their property to make the process easier.
The Richland County Longview Center will be offering area residents an opportunity to attend its Pond Clinic, which may be of interest to both existing and potential pond owners. It has been developed by the Richland Soil and Water Conservation District, and while the adults learn, the kids in the crowd can enjoy some activities planned just for them.
The topics on the agenda for review range from how to build and install a pond to maintenance, which plants to use, and also what fish, if any, are suitable for stocking. Steven Fender of Fenders Fish Hatchery based in Baltic, Ohio will share his expertise and answer questions from the group, and there will be other subject matter experts on hand as well. Tickets are free, but they must be reserved by no later than February 28.
Workshops offer a way to share a wealth of information in a small amount of time. Learning materials including Brochures and leaflets, along with swag such as promotional Pens, may all be prepared by area Stationery printers.
This introduction to pond installation and maintenance is set for March 1, and it will begin at 5:30 pm. The function will be held at 1495 W. Longview Avenue.
