For a family run farm or other agricultural operation, succession planning can be an important consideration. One event is on the agenda for the Mansfield area that will explore this topic in depth, and all are welcome to participate.
The organizers of “Essentials for Farm Succession Planning” noted that while the workshop may be short, it will be packed with helpful tips and other information. It can help to get the ball rolling on the discussion of what to do should the owner/operator no longer be able to farm and can help farming families meet the challenges that can go along with passing the operation down to the next generation.
Those who take advantage of this learning opportunity will go home better prepared to discuss succession planning. The discussion will include emotional, interpersonal, business and legal perspectives, and the participants will also find out ways they can work effectively with CPAs, advisors and their legal team.
This event, which includes dinner, is being offered courtesy of the Richland County Farm Bureau, Farm Credit Mid America, Nationwide and Write & Moore Law Co. LPA. and tickets are now available. A brochure printing company will be able to provide pamphlets and other learning materials for this sort of function, and these can help the attendees to make the most that they can from the occasion.
Bellville’s Der Dutchman will be hosting this event on September 10th. It’s free for Ohio Farm Bureau Members, while tickets for the general public are $10.00.
