What's Happening in Mansfield, OH…

Shrewd use of water in the garden can be both easy and attractive, and an in-person Mansfield workshop will explore the subject in depth.

The Ohio Bird Sanctuary has teamed up with the Richland Soil and Water Conservation District to offer a class that will introduce the benefits that go hand in hand with rain barrels and gardens. Attendance is free, and everyone is welcome.

Learners in the session will find out how to purchase or build their own rain barrel, as well as where to site it on their property. They will even have an opportunity to order one during the class, priced at $128 each.

Constructing rain gardens is also on the agenda, and everyone can ask questions, stock up on some basic home horticulture supplies, and purchase an assortment of native plants.

Home gardeners are often eager to learn and acquire even more skills, and workshops like this offer them a chance to do so as well as meet others who share their interest. A brochure printing company will be happy to supply handouts for a class, workshop, or other event.
