An event brining a taste of the tropics in the middle of a Mansfield winter is open to the public until early March, and anyone looking for a mini staycation is encouraged to drop by.
Kingwood Center Gardens is running its Winter's Interlude horticulture celebration, where it is putting tropical and semitropical orchids in the spotlight. The specimens have been brought in from as far away as Hawaii, and the exhibit has been set up in the venue's Orangery in its Display Greenhouse.
Visitors to the venue are being treated to the opportunity to enjoy at least 250 orchids. The phalaenopsis have been sourced from a grower in Oberlin Ohio, and there are air plants and other species in the mix. Many of the flowers included are noted for their fragrance, adding an extra sensory touch to a visit.
A display of tropical plants gives the public an opportunity to view species not usually seen. Labels, signage, and Promotional Products such as themed cloth shopping Totes can be prepared for this type of function by a professional printer.
Kingwood Gardens is offering this taste of the tropics for one and all with its Winter's Interlude, which began on February 1 and continues to Friday, March 7. It is included with admission to the venue, which is open from 10:00 am until 4:30 pm.
