Mansfield airport organizes public celebration

Mansfield’s Lahm Regional Airport could be considered one of the state's best kept aviation secrets, and it will soon be giving the public a sneak peek into its operations.

Airport Day will be held in early August, and it will be an activity planned with all ages in mind. Vendor inquiries can be directed to 419-295-2478, and there will be a variety of experiences on offer.

The function will see the public treated to both helicopter and airplane rides, and they will get an insider's view into how they operate. The Car, Truck and Cycle show is expected to be a big hit with the gearheads in the crowd, and everyone can take in the spectacle of the aircraft fly in. Free live entertainment and a Kids Zone are on the agenda, and anyone who would like to do so can book a flight on the Ford Trimotor. After the sun goes down, the popular drone light show will be back for its third year, and local food trucks will be rolling in as well.

One of the "housekeeping" tasks that may be on the list for event organizers is preparing vendor applications and contracts as well as safety waivers and other business documents. These can all be ordered from Stationery printers.

The 2025 installment of Mansfield Airport Day will give all ages access to high flying fun on August 2nd. Its Destination Mansfield listing offers more information.
