An event that will introduce kids to classical music is in the works for Mansfield, and this interactive performance will be a treat for the senses of both sight and sound.
The Mansfield Symphony Orchestra will be partnering with local actors and other performers to bring “Jack and the Beanstalk” to life, and it will give children a venue where they can get an up close look at an actual symphony orchestra while it plays. They are encouraged to bring their favorite stuffed toy, and as only 100 tickets will be sold, they are expected to go quickly.
The music chosen for the event will introduce some basic musical concepts, and the audience will see how the different instruments are played. Actors will give a live performance, and it will be an interactive experience. Many of the seats will be situated right on the stage, and they will be assigned following social distancing protocols that have been set by the state.
Tickets for the show are $5 each, and they are on sale now. A poster printing company can design a variety of marketing materials for this type of event, and they can be placed in prominent locations throughout the community.
Jack and the Beanstalk will be performed live for Mansfield kids on February 21. It will be welcoming these young fans of classical music at Theatre 166.
