The United Way of Richland County’s signature fundraiser is right around the corner, and the public is welcomed to purchase their tickets now so they can join in the fun of this Mansfield activity.
This year will be the ninth for “Power of the Purse”, and this successful fundraiser has made a significant impact in the community by supporting United Way’s Big Red Bookshelf initiative. Last year, the evening was able to raise more than $50,000, and the organizers are hoping that 2020 will be an even greater success.
The planners of this activity explained that it depends upon the support of the local business community, and it has created several sponsorship packages. Gifts in kind for the silent auction that will be a part of the event will also be appreciated.
