Mansfield concert to introduce kids to classic music

Not all youngsters take to classical music, but event hopes to show Mansfield kids that it can be a whole lot of fun.

The Teddy Bear Concert series, which will be on offer at Theatre 166, will be a kid-friendly introduction to the world of classical composers. The piece performed will be “The Carnival of the Animals”, and the Mansfield Symphony is hoping that adults and children alike will enjoy it.

The show will offer a musical visit to the zoo for what will be an interactive experience. The script for the event was written by Michael Thomas, who is Renaissance’s Artistic Director.

Tickets for the function are $5 each, and they are available now. The performance will be staged in one of the location’s smaller blackbox theatres, and the sounds and lights will be kept to a comfortable level for those with sensory processing issues.

Hosting a kid-friendly activity like this offers a fun way for kids to discover unfamiliar kinds of music. Providing them with souvenir printed programs can be made much easier with help from a local company that supplies flyer printing and other custom Print services.

This installment of the Mechanics Bank Education Series will take place on February 6 at 2:30 pm. The venue can be found at 166 Park Avenue West in Mansfield.
