Mansfield brewery plans Krampus-time fun

The winter holiday season is often full of myths and magic, and a Mansfield craft brewery has plans to join in the fun.

The team at The Phoenix Brewing Company will be hosting a holiday celebration that will feature a special twist. Instead of Santa, Krampus will be the theme of the occasion, and while he may have a reputation for being grumpy, there's no need to worry, as it's all about having fun.

The guests at the function are encouraged to dress as their favorite Krampus or elf, or they may choose to come dressed in their holiday best. The switch on the ‘Kegmas’ tree will be thrown at 6:30pm, and cookies, candy, craft beers and other treats will be served.

While the celebration will be about having a good time, it will have a serious side as well. The organizers have asked those who plan on coming to keep the less fortunate in mind, and bring along a generous donation of non-perishable foods. Many food banks and pantries run collection events in the winter holiday season, and Stationery printers can prepare lists of items that are needed most, along with other signage to post by collection Boxes.
