Mansfield-area farm plans weekend of fall fun

A Mansfield area farm that’s home to a herd of alpacas announced that it will be marking an upcoming event with a weekend of special activities, with plenty to see and do.

Shady Lane Alpaca Farm will be celebrating National Alpaca Farm Days, and both of the scheduled dates will run for five hours. The organizers have put together an agenda that will offer hands on fun that provides an introduction to agriculture.

The members of the public that come out will be able to meet some new fuzzy and feathery friends in the petting zoo, and there will be other farm animals on hand as well. Blacksmithing demonstrations will take place, and a traditional meal of cornbread and hot bean soup will be served. Demonstrations of crafting fibers for weaving and other textiles have been planned, and the farm store will be open. Everyone can pick up some fall decor, including pumpkins and other gourds, and admission to the festivities will be free.

An autumn themed event may be a good fit for the printing services available at Stationery printers. They can provide a range of options that include graphics and colors, that can add an extra touch of fun to a special occasion.

This kickoff to the fall festival season will be taking place on October 5th and 6th. The farm is located at 3073 Gass Road in Lexington, a short drive from Mansfield.
