Owned for almost 100 years by the Fernyak family, MT Business Technologies of Mansfield recently sold the business to Global Imaging Systems/Xerox. The company has evolved throughout the years and has recently won an award for being the ‘2016 Ricoh Dealer of the Year’.
As businesses evolve, they often work with a local Print company for stationary printing, premium Business Cards and a variety of other business Forms. This was likely the case in 1932 when Mansfield Typewriter, which was set up in 1918, merged with Mansfield Office Supply Company to keep up with the latest in technology. The collaboration was a success and the company changed its name in 1998 to MT Business Technologies, Inc.
Earlier this year, Frank Cannata visited MT Technologies and was impressed with the leadership of Carl Fernyak and Chuck Rounds. He called MT Business Technologies a “first-class organization” and credited Fernyak’s father John for creating the company as it is today.
The partnering with Global Imaging Systems will help the company expand the services offered and its product line. MT intends to keep the company name and maintain operations at its current location.
Having known the Fernyak family for years, Global Imaging president, Tom Salierno, says he is pleased to continue working with the Fernyak family and the approach to business will remain the same.
