Alpaca Meadows Fall Farm Days, a family friendly event that allows visitors to interact with the alpacas during the beautiful fall season, is coming up in just over a week.
Attendees will also be able to learn about the steps needed to created fiber-produced products, and can also purchase the products in the onsite store.
Alpaca Meadows is a family-owned business located in Mansfield that features Alpaca’s along with alpaca clothing, spinning classes, and spinning supplies. The family has been raising alpacas since 2002.
Visitors will have an opportunity to watch spinning demonstrations, experience the softness of alpaca yarn, and have their picture taken with an alpaca. The site also has yarn available for purchase for those who wish to make their own creations.
The Richland County Junior Fair Alpacas Club will be at the event to answer questions about the South American mammals and provide information to parents whose children wish to be more involved in 4-H and other alpaca projects.
