Tasty event comes to Lyndhurst

An upcoming event will give attendees a chance to taste an unusual beverage - mead.

Unpossible Mead is hosting a tasting event that will allow attendees a chance to try a variety of their delicious meads. The tasting is in-person at their facility.

The tasting is open to everyone, whether they are familiar with mead, or are trying it for the first time. The evening will give people an opportunity to savor the wines and enjoy a night out with friends and others who are connoisseurs of this unusual product.

Mead has been produced for thousands of years, with evidence that it was consumed in China as early as the 7th millennium BCE. It is an alcoholic beverage of fermented honey and water that may be mixed with other ingredients such as hops, spices, or fruits. It has a low alcohol content and may be sweet, semi-sweet, or dry, and can be carbonated, still, or naturally sparkling.

The mead tasting is scheduled for January 7, from 6.00 pm until 8.00 pm, at Unpossible Mead, located at 5199 Lynd Avenue in Lyndhurst. The fee for the tasting is $70, which is refundable up until seven days before the event. When they plan events like this, organizers may want to work with a printer who will use flyer printing to create handouts explaining the types of products they will be sampling.
