A magician is coming to Lyndhurst where he will appear as part of a series of live performances at Legacy Village.
Rick Smith, Jr., is a Lyndhurst native who has gone on to make a name for himself as an entertainer, illusionist, and magician. He has appeared on “America’s Got Talent,” and various other shows, including the “Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon,” the “Tonight Show with Jay Leno,” “Today,” “Penn & Teller: Fool Us,” and more. He is a Guinness World Record holder for throwing a playing card at 92 miles per hour. Smith is in constant demand for parties and corporate events, and has appeared in a number of commercials.
Smith learned his card-throwing skills in college, when he played baseball at Cleveland State University, where he was an NCAA Division I pitcher. He began his career much earlier, as he became interested in magic when he was a youngster, and discovered he had a talent for card throwing by accident, when he jokingly threw a card at another student and cut their arm.
Smith is set to perform on August 16, from 10:30 am until 11:30 am, on The Lawn at Legacy Village. The village is an entertainment center comprising shops, restaurants, a nearby hotel, and entertainment options. His show is suitable for all audiences. Organizers of events like this can use poster printing to create colorful advertisements for them.
