What's Happening in Lyndhurst, OH…

Lyndhurst will be joining other communities across the nation for a special night.

The City of Lyndhurst is holding its 6th Annual National Night Out, which brings community members and residents together with local law enforcement officers, members of the fire department, and the city’s Service Department, in a cordial atmosphere. The National Night Out gives everyone a chance to get to know each other simply as community members, easing the stress and awkwardness that often comes with interactions between first responders and the communities they serve.

Lyndhurst’s National Night Out will include free ice cream, chips, hot dogs, and other refreshments, as well as a chance to “Meet the Machines.” Families will be able to explore official vehicles including a fire truck, police cruiser, and apparatus belonging to the Service Department.

The Lyndhurst Finance Department will be doing face painting, offering giveaways to children, and there will be a raffle. Dennis Ford will be providing live music, and rides will be available on the Euclid Beach Boys Rocket Ship Car. A master magician, Rick Smith Jr., will perform, and everyone is encouraged to turn on their outdoor and porch lights.

The night is scheduled for Tuesday, August 2, from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Lyndhurst Park. Smith will perform from 6:30 pm until 7:15 pm. With so many attractions, events like this can be confusing, so organizers could use flyer printing to create schedules for attendees.
