Once again, Lyndhurst residents will have a summer filled with music.
The city has just announced its Legacy Live line-up of live music performances for the summer months. First up are Jump the Gun, followed by Swamp Boogie Band, and then Funkology.
Jump the Gun are a group of professional musicians based in Cleveland who play covers of classic rock and soul songs. Some of the artists and songs on their setlist are “Chain of Fools” by Aretha Franklin, “I Heard It Through the Grapevine” by Marvin Gaye, and “Walk This Way” by Aerosmith.
The Swamp Boogie Band plays classic rock, R&B, Motown, and the blues. They cover songs by artists such as B.B. King, Donna Summer, Janis Joplin, and Stevie Ray Vaughn.
Funkology is comprised of professional musicians and music teachers from Cleveland and the local area. Although their name suggests they play only one genre of music, they offer everything from the 1950s through to disco, country, Motown, and classic rock. Audiences can expect to hear anything from Beyonce’s “Crazy in Love” to “Can’t Help Myself” by the Four Tops.
Jump the Gun appears on June 10, the Swamp Boogie Band plays on June 17, and Funkology finishes off the month on June 24, with all three dates being Saturdays. Organizers of events like this can use flyer printing to create playlists for audiences.
