Lyndhurst holds 99th Home Day

Lyndhurst is getting ready to party, and everyone is invited.

For the 99th consecutive year, Lyndhurst is organizing its 2024 Lyndhurst Home Day, a three-day celebration that is packed with things to do, including listening to live music.

A Family-Fun Night will offer free carnival games, a yo-yo show by The Amazing Jumario, and an appearance by Bubble Wanda. A Kids’ Tent will feature face painters, the balloon artists Twister Girls, animal shows by Jungle Bob, and more. The Great Lakes Puppet Theatre Company will perform “Goldilocks & the Three Bears,” and “Little Red Riding Hood.”

Bands taking part include Son Gitano, The Goods, the Swamp Boogie Band, and the headliner, Shout!, a party band that promises to get everyone on their feet. The Swamp Boogie Band is based in Cleveland and plays Blues, R&B, and classic rock from artists such as Donna Summer, CCR, Aretha Franklin and many others. Son Gitano will provide a Latin flavor to the party, and The Goods, who got together in 2013, is a four-piece, Alt Rock band from Cleveland that plays the hits of the 90s.

The dates of the 2024 Lyndhurst Home Day are Friday, September 6, from 5.00 pm until 9.00 pm, Saturday, September 7, from 12.00 pm until 9.00 pm, and Sunday, September 8, from 1.00 pm until 8.00 pm. The Parade is scheduled for Sunday at 12.00 pm. Large scale, outdoor events like this benefit when organizers turn to banner printing for themed decorations.
