Classical piano music to be aired in Lyndhurst

A gifted young pianist will be in Lyndhurst to share the music of Frédéric Chopin with the world.

The upcoming concert, “Chopin for All featuring Victoria Wong,” will feature an appearance by the artist in the cozy surroundings of a private home.

Wong was born in Hong Kong, relocated to Canada when she was three, and began her musical training. She studied with Dan Zhao Yi in China before she returned to Canada to study at the Royal Conservatory of Music. The New England Conservatory of Music granted her a Bachelor of Music degree, and she obtained her master’s from The Juilliard School. In 2022, the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation called her one of Canada’s Top 30 Under 30 Classical Musicians.

She was five when she made her professional orchestral debut as a soloist, and has since played with such orchestras as the Shenzhen Symphony Orchestra, and the Canadian Sinfonietta. She has also appeared at a soloist in some of the most celebrated venues in the world, including the Palace of Grazia and Terezza a Mare in Italy, along with the Hong Kong City Hall.

Her artistic talent extends to other fields, including composing, photography, and watercolor painting. Her compositions “Winter Ride” and Piano Trio No. 1 “Abyss” have been performed in New York.

“Chopin for All” is scheduled for Tuesday, April 9, from 7.00 pm until 10.00 pm, at 1347 Gordon Road in Lyndhurst. Hosts of events like this will often work with printing companies who will use brochure printing to create programs.
