Time management focus for Dublin

A focus session in Dublin will enable attendees who are struggling with time management to refocus and minimize distractions.

The Focus Session: Getting Things Done in Community tackles exactly that subject—how people can minimize distractions and keep focused so they can move ahead on the projects they need to do. The session is taking place at the library, which will provide a quiet space for people to work.

The upcoming class will help people learn how they can do more in less time. The library will be a focused, distraction-free environment where people will be able to do their best work. The session will comprise three “sprints” with breaks in between them. During the session, attendees will learn techniques to improve productivity, focus, and be mindful in their work. These techniques are based on research.

Attendees should bring a notebook and pen, or a computer if they prefer to work on the machine. Those bringing a computer should also bring a charging cable.

The structure of the session is up to the participants. Some work on a different project during each sprint, while others work on one large project they may have been procrastinating about for months. Organizers of events like this can use flyer printing to create instructions sheets for attendees.

The session is scheduled for January 12 at the Columbus Metropolitan Library: Dublin Branch on North High Street, and people should plan to stay for the whole session.
