What's Happening in Dublin, OH…

Major annual festival returns to Dublin

One of the most popular events of the year is coming back to Dublin.

The Dublin Irish Festival is three days of fun celebrating Irish culture. The event includes a run, food, vendors, a variety of experiences, and a line-up of live entertainment that will have people dancing in the aisles.

Experiences include a chance to learn about darts and play a game; a genealogy tent where people can trace their Irish history; and the Defenders Den, where first responders, veterans, and active and retired military personnel will find complimentary non-alcoholic beverages and snacks. The tent is open to the veteran/first responder and as many as three family members.

Other experiences include the Wee Folk area, where families will find inflatables, a playground, contests, crafts, and dance instruction. Over 90 vendors from throughout the world will have fine art, handmade jewelry, crystals, home décor, and more. The Greenfields Sports Area will offer athletes the opportunity to compete in traditional Stones of Strength and Highland Games.

The highlight of the festival is the array of musicians who will be appearing on various stages. The artists include Irish dancers, Celtic rock bands, storytellers, and pipers. Dozens of artists and groups will appear, including the Columbus Police & Fire Pipes and Drums, comprised of active or retired members of the police and fire departments.

This extravaganza takes place August 1-3 in Coffman Park. Events like this can benefit if organizers use flyer printing to create handouts with a schedule.
