Dublin will he holding an Independence Day Celebration on the big day itself.
The day will start with the Sherm Sheldon Fishing Derby at Avery Pond at 8:00 am. At 11:00 am, there will be an Independence Day parade starting at the Metro Center and traversing historic downtown.
The gates will open at 4:30 pm at Dublin Coffman High School for the celebrations in the evening and a concert at the school’s stadium.
Rising country artist Adam Sanders will open the performances. Named a 2026 Artist to Watch by American Songwriter, he recently won The Road with mentors Keith Urban and Blake Shelton. He is known for his chart-topping hits for Cole Swindell and Dustin Lynch and can boast more than 215 million streams.
Grammy Award–winning rock band The Wallflowers, led by Jakob Dylan, will follow. Best known for their breakthrough album “Bringing Down the Horse,” which celebrates its 30th anniversary this summer, the band rose to fame with hits including “One Headlight,” “6th Avenue Heartache,” and “Three Marlenas.” For more than three decades, The Wallflowers have remained a mainstay in American rock.
There will also be vendors with food and drink and activities for the family to enjoy the day. The fireworks show will be at 9:50 pm. Flyer printing can be used to provide more details of Independence Day events. This will take place on Saturday, July 4.
