Dublin prepares to let feathers fly
An upcoming event in Dublin will help people work up an appetite.
OhioHealth is presenting the Flying Feather Four Miler, a popular event in Dublin. Everyone who takes part will receive a bottle of wine, a race bib, a finisher’s medal, premium hoodies, and more. OhioHealth will have free photos of the race available.
The Flying Feather Four Miler is more than just a change for runners to enjoy their favorite sport, as organizers say it’s also a chance to give back, as the event supports the 2nd & 7, a Columbus-based non-profit. The mission of the organization is to encourage reading by providing positive role models and free books to children in need. It’s also designed to encourage Dublin’s young athletes to become those role models. They also hope to open the first free book bank in central Ohio.
The book bank will help support 2nd & 7’s mission by providing even more books to children, teachers, and schools where they are most needed. People who are coming to the run can help by bringing books with them. Both new and gently used books suitable for grades K through 6 will be accepted.
The race is scheduled for November 27, and the location is The Club at Corazon, located at 7155 Corazon Drive. The race starts at 9.00 am and carries on through the city. Races like this often benefit when organizers use banner printing to create signs marking the course.
