The Ohio Railway Museum in Worthington will be celebrating the Boy Scouts next month. These events may be of interest to those in nearby Dublin.
The first is a day of free admission for all scouts in uniform. Those who wear their colors can visit the museum for a day of history, discovery, and fun with fellow scouts. Scouts can enjoy the museum with their pack or troop and enjoy a regular train ride or a speeder ride and explore the railcars and locomotives that are a significant part of this history of the country up close. This is an ideal opportunity to spend a day of hands-on activities and learning. This event will be on Saturday August 1 from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
A full day of hands-on railroading will also be offered to those scouts looking to earn their Railroad Merit Badge. Participating scouts will be able to take part in operations of the crew and discover how the railroad runs. This will be on Saturday August 1 from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The cost is $25 per scout and includes a Scout Day patch for 2026.
Such unique and special events can be promoted throughout a region with flyer printing.
The mission of the Ohio Railway Museum is to educate the public about the past and future of the railroad industry and to preserve its collection and the infrastructure that supports it.
