Dublin fills October with fun for Fall

There are events taking place throughout October that will keep Dublin filled with excitement.

Among the activities are the Fall Festival at Oakland Nursery, where visitors will enjoy door prizes, musical entertainment, kids’ games, special guests, hayrides pulled by tractor, all-you-can-carry pumpkins, and Oakland’s Fall Down-on-the-Farm Themed Forest.

Coffman Park will be the venue for the Halloween Spooktacular. Planned events include life performances, crafts, a hay maze, and the Trunk or Treat Trail. Everyone is encouraged to dress in costume to enjoy the fun the ghouls have prepared.

The festivities will take place in Coffman Park’s south end, and everything will be outdoors. Almost all the activities are free, and include a straw maze, crafts and games, a haunted playground, a nature education aera, interactive characters, comedy juggling, a petting zoo, professional pumpkin carvers, and life dance performances.

The Trunk-or-Treat Trail is free, but requires pre-registration, and is limited to residents of Dublin and Dublin City Schools. There is a $5 per child charge for Pumpkin Creations, but there is no residency requirement.

The fall festival at the nursery is October 11 and 12, and there is a National Pumpkin Weigh Off at 1.30 pm on October12. The Spooktacular in Coffman Park is scheduled for October 16, from 4.00 pm until 8.00 pm, and October 17, from 1.00 pm until 5.00 pm. Events like this are a great opportunity for organizers to use banner printing to create special decorations for the venues.
