Kicking off Dublins biggest festival

A race in Dublin will get the renowned Irish Festival off to a great start.

The Dublin Irish Festival 5K & Kids Dash is a family friendly race that takes place the day before the Irish Festival itself, as a sort of introduction to the fun.

The 5K is limited to 1,000 participants, and each section of the Kids Race, which is divided by age, is limited to 75 runners. In 2024, all the races sold out, so anyone who is interested in joining in should register now.

All the runner participating in the 5K will receive a finisher’s medal, a commemorative T-shirt, and a single-day admission ticket to the Dublin Irish Festival. All participants in the Kids Dash will receive a finisher’s medal. When they plan outdoor events like this, organizers can enhance them by using banner printing to create course markers.

Once the race is done, everyone is invited to a Post-Race Party and Concert. One free beer will be given to everyone over 21, and a non-alcoholic drink will be available to younger racers. People will be able to donate to the race’s cause, the Dublin Food Pantry, during the registration process.

The race is scheduled for July 31. The event begins at 5.30 pm, with registration and check-in. Children five and under will start their Kids Dash at 6.35 pm, with children six and older starting at 6.45 pm. The 5K begins at 7.00 pm.
