Tusk is a tribute band for Fleetwood Mac, and the five musicians who comprise the outfit perform the hits Fleetwood Mac made famous, recreating them note for note to create. A review said:
“I have seen Fleetwood Mac live several times and this group has perfected their sound. Amazing.”
Tusk perform all Fleetwood Mac’s hits, so audiences should expect to hear “Go Your Own Way,” “The Chain,” “Gold Dust Woman,” and more. The members of Tusk are all professional musicians who have 25 years of experience in their own bands as well as tribute outfits, and have played together in assorted styles and combinations. Their background matches that of their idols, as Fleetwood Mac had various members over the years.
The original group was started in 1967 in London, with Mick Fleetwood, Jeremy Spencer, and Peter Green as the founders. Members came and went, until the configuration most people think of formed: Mick Fleetwood, Lindsey Buckingham, Stevie Nicks, and Christine and John McVie. These were the artists who dropped the album “Rumors” in 1977, which sold more than 40 million Copies and stayed at No. 1 on the charts for 31 weeks. This was followed two years later by “Tusk,” from which the tribute band takes its name.
Tusk will appear at the Ludlow Garage on Thursday, December 8. Events like these can be publicized when organizers use poster printing to create attractive publicity.
