Tyler Hilton is a Palm Springs, California, native who is known for his role as musician Chris Keller on “One Tree Hill,” first as a recurring character and then as a regular. He also appeared in “Walk the Line,” a biopic of Johnny Cash, in which Hilton played Elvis Presley. It isn’t surprising that he was cast as a musician, as he comes from a musical family who performed with stars like George Harrison and Fleetwood Mac. He began performing with them when he was a child.
At 14, he began to take songwriting seriously, and when he was 15, he was a regular guest on KLOS, a Los Angeles radio station. His work on the station brought him to the attention of Warner Bros. Records, who signed him so to have his next album on their label. That effort, “The Tracks of Tyler Hilton,” put two singles in the Top 40.
He went on to land the plum role of Elvis Presley in “Walk the Line,” where he worked with Joaquin Phoenix and Reese Witherspoon. The Grammy-winning soundtrack featured two of Hilton’s songs. A concert review says:
“Tyler Hilton was amazing!! Such great energy, so nice to his fans and all around great!!”
Tyler Hilton will be at the Ludlow Garage on April 10, at 7.30 pm. Shows like this can be publicized by organizers using poster printing.
