Domino's Pizza, which is based in Ann Arbor, Michigan and has more than 11,000 locations worldwide, has opened a new branch in downtown Cincinnati that lets diners watch their food as it is being prepared.
The new store is located in the former Tower Place Mall, now known as Mabley Place. Domino's is on the ground floor of the development, which is at Race and Fourth Streets, in the space formerly occupied by Fusian sushi. The store is hiring too, offering another way for locals to earn a crust.
The new Domino's, which is a dine-in restaurant, is the first in Cincinnati to feature the company's “pizza theater” concept. There are fewer than 100 stores nationwide that have this design. The centerpiece of the pizza theater is an open kitchen. Diners can watch every step of the way as their pizza is assembled and baked. They also have the option to use a kiosk to place an order, and are able to track their carryout orders electronically.
The new location may have such “grab and go” items as milk, salads, cookies, and parfaits available as well.
Managers of new restaurants often consider working with a flyer printing company to devise a handout for distribution during the first weeks of its operation. This might include a coupon to encourage people to try out the venue.
