Major acquisition expected to create Cincinnati jobs

One of the biggest environmental consulting companies in the Greater Cincinnati has been acquired by another local concern, a move that experts believe will create numerous well-paying jobs.

Trans-Ash Inc. of Lockland has acquired SRW Environmental Services, Inc., in a deal that closed on April 15.

SRW, which is the 14th biggest environmental consulting company in Greater Cincinnati, presently has 18 employees, all of whom are expected to keep their jobs. An additional four to eight new employees could be hired within 12 months, with the ultimate goal of doubling the size of the company's workforce within three years. The company will be adding environmental engineers, civil engineers, geologists, and environmental scientists, with salaries averaging from $60,000 to $100,000 annually.

At present, SRW is working on the mixed-use development near Xavier University's Evanston campus, known as University Station, where it is involved in brownfield reclamation. Although SRW is currently working only with regulators, it would like to do some of the actual work on the site.

Trans-Ash has 228 employees and provides the utility industry with management services. It counts Duke Energy, a major provider, among its clients.

The new company will no doubt need to provide Business Cards for its employees, so it could consider working with a business card printing company to design appropriate cards for employees transitioning to the new organization.
