Foxy Shazam got together in Cincinnati in 2004, and the upcoming concert will mark their reunion. Like most groups, the lineup has changed over the years; the founding members were Teddy Aitkins on drums, Trigger Warning on bass, Alex Nauth handling back-up vocals, Sky White on the piano, and Eric Nally as lead vocalist. They released “The Flamingo Trigger,” their independent debut album, in 2005, and their debut album on a major label, “Foxy Shazam,” in 2010. In 2014, they announced they would be disbanding, but are now back together.
The band's theatrical performances have led critics to compare them to Meat Loaf and Queen, while adding that Foxy Shazam has a sound all their own that can best be appreciated when heard live. One review said that although the band should be appearing in large arenas and reaching more fans, they are glad they can see Foxy Shazam in smaller houses.
Another said:
“Foxy Shazam always puts on an amazing show, but they even outdid themselves on this one! On top of being extremely talented musicians, they are unmatched entertainers.”
Foxy Shazam will be at the Taft Theater in Cincinnati on January 30, 2021, at 8:00 pm. Poster printing is frequently used to create publicity for events like this.
