Aubrey Logan will appear in concert with the Cincinnati Pops. Logan is an actor, singer and dancer who first garnered acclaim at the Switzerland’s Shure-Montreux Jazz Festival, where she won both the Jury’s First Place Award and the Audience’s Choice Award in 2009. She was also on “American Idol” in 2009 and is a featured artist with the Dave Koz band and Postmodern Jukebox.
Logan has won praise for making jazz, which can seem difficult to appreciate and exclusive, into an artform that appeals to people everywhere. She has worked with such artists as Quincy Jones, Pharrell Williams, Smokey Robinson, Josh Groban, and Burb Bacharach. She has reworked standards such as Fleetwood Mac’s “Dreams,” revealing the talent of an artist at her height. She moves between love songs, funk, jazz, and Calypso with ease.
