Blake Shelton was born in Oklahoma, but now makes Nashville his home base. He always loved music, and composed his first song when he was 12. At 17, he moved to Nashville, where Sony Music signed him in 1997. Giant Records picked him up in 2001, and he went on to release “Austin,” his first single, on that label. The song climbed to the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot Country Singles chart, where it sat for five weeks.
When Giant folded, Warner Bros. Records scooped Shelton up, and he dropped his debut album, which was self-titled, in 2001. It was certified Gold, and has since gone Platinum. His second effort, “The Dreamer,” also went Gold. Two of his albums achieved outstanding success – 2011’s “Red River Blue” earning Double Platinum, and “Based on a True Story,” dropped in 2013, designated Triple Platinum. To date, Shelton has released 12 studio albums, 10 of which have earned a certification from the RIAA.
He has balanced his prolific recording career with numerous television appearances and tours. A review says:
“[He] knows how to conduct a show with his confident mannerism and natural interaction with his crowd.”
Blake Shelton will appear on March 23 at the Heritage Bank Center. Appearing with Shelton are Jackson Dean and Carly Pearce. Poster printing is the perfect process for organizers of events like this to use to create effective advertising.
