Country coming to the city

A popular country band will be in Cincinnati soon, warming up chilly winter nights.

The Eli Young Band, a four-man group from Texas, will perform at Bogarts. The four members of the band met at the University of North Texas when they were students. The four founders are still together, with Mike Eli, the lead vocalist, also on guitar; James Young on guitar; Chris Thompson on drums; and Jon Jones on bass guitar.

The band has made it into Billboard's country charts eight times, and four of these songs have gone all the way to number one. The total includes “Crazy Girl,” which Billboard Year-End voted as 2011's top country song. They have appeared on numerous television shows, and toured with legends like the Dave Matthews Band, and Kenny Chesney.

One reviewer said of a live performance,

“. . . if you are looking for a legitimate, hard rocking, country band, then the Eli Young Band is it. . . . Their live show is a real treat. These guys give it their all from the very first note.”

Bogarts, the location of the concert, is a venue for live entertainment on Vine Street in Cincinnati. The Eli Young Band will be there March 21, with the doors opening at 7:00 pm. All ages are welcome to attend the performance. Poster printing is often used to publicize events like this.
